Do you know there is actually an international day to celebrate human shelter? It was established at the UN general assembly in 1985 and first celebrated in 1986. It is called, World Habitat Day and the theme was, “Shelter is my Right”. It is annually celebrated on the first Monday of October. This year, it is a double celebration because falls on International Teachers’ Day, the 5th of October.
